Location
Thon Hotel Astoria is a cosy budget-hotel in downtown Oslo. We are located only 50 metres from the main street Karl Johan, in close proximity to everything the city has to offer. Shopping, galleries, museums, restaurants and nightlife are just minutes away. The hotel is easily accessible with public transportation, and is only a short 5 minute walk from Oslo Central Station. We do not have hotel parking, but Paleet garage is only 2 blocks away. Please ask our front desk staff for directions.
Guest rooms
We have 180 comfortable guest rooms, most of them facing towards the back. Due to our very central location you may experience some city noise as traffic and music from bars. 50 of the rooms are brand new, and were opened January 7th 2008. All are equipped with hairdryer, telephone and television, and all have private bathrooms with showers. We do not have minibars or pay-tv, but refreshments and snacks can be purchased from the vending machines in the lobby. We have 6 free tv-channels, also international. In addition to our standard rooms, we offer a few smoking rooms, rooms without carpet, and family rooms. Wireless Internett is available in the entire hotel, also in the breakfastroom. A free guest computer is available in the lobby.
Restaurant/ Bar
After a good night sleep, you can start the day with our tasteful and healthy Scandinavian breakfast buffet. Only NOK 50 per person.
