Business Deal agreement terms and conditions
Parties to the agreement
Business Deal is a co-operation between Thon Hotels and First Hotels, where we offer more than 120 hotels in
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and the Benelux countries.
This agreement is entered into between Thon Hotels and you, the customer. The term customer refers to the parent company and subsidiaries with more than 50% ownership or a defined purchasing organisation.
The present agreement summarises the benefits of the agreement and the obligations of the parties.
Prices and terms of payment
Prices have been stated based on an expected volume of up to 500 room nights at our hotels.
The agreement price per room per night applies to overnight stays at Thon Hotels in Norway and Sweden. Breakfast is included in the price at all hotels in Norway and Sweden. In Belgium and the Netherlands, the price stated does not include breakfast.
The agreement prices apply to individual travellers. Thon Hotels employ dynamic pricing for its hotels, and prices can change on a daily basis. For Business Deal, a discount of up to 21% discount is given on Thon Hotels’ or First Hotels’ daily flexible price levels, and no restrictions apply. See the price information on “My Page” at www.thonhotels.no. There may, therefore, be discrepancies between the lowest ordinary price levels and the Business Deal agreement price. The customer is free to reserve any price type available at any time. Note that special terms and conditions may be attached to reservations of different price types to the agreement price.
Separate terms and conditions shall apply to group or conference reservations. Bookings of more than 10 rooms is considered to be a group booking.
To enjoy the benefits associated with Business Deal, all reservations must be made through www.thonhotels.no.
Thon Hotels accept all common payment cards and credit cards (Amex, Visa, MasterCard and Diners). Room payments shall be made directly to the hotel, and guests are personally responsible for their bills.
In the event of changes to VAT and other taxes that are beyond the control of Thon Hotels, the prices in the present agreement shall be adjusted accordingly. Thon Hotels reserves the right to and will adjust prices on 1 January each year. Price changes will also be announced on “My Page” at www.thonhotels.no.
The prices specified in the present agreement include VAT. The prices are not entitled to commissions.
Co-operation and monitoring
The Customer will find updated statistics on “My Page” at www.thonhotels.no. These statistics will include room nights, accommodation turnover and average prices. Bookings made via the Berg-Hansen travel agency will not be available on “My Page” at www.thonhotels.no.
Should the customer provide volumes in excess of the agreed, Thon Hotels shall contact the customer for further monitoring and changes in co-operation.
The customer shall undertake to disseminate information about the agreement and its benefits and terms in-house and refer to the agreement in the company travel policy. The booking codes given to the customer through the present agreement shall be used when making bookings.
Booking/cancelling and the Thon Member loyalty programme
Thon Hotels offer the customer’s employees membership of the Thon Member loyalty programme. For more information, please refer to “My Page” at www.thonhotels.no.
Thon Hotels cannot guarantee room availability before 3 pm, at the earliest, on the date of arrival. Unless arrival after 4 pm has been agreed and guaranteed in advance, the hotel shall be entitled to cancel orders. Room reservations can be cancelled up to 4 pm on the date of arrival. If a room has been pre booked, the booking can be cancelled within 24 hours of making the booking, while bookings made on the the date of arrival may only be cancelled within 4 hours of making the booking. The client is financially liable for no shows. Guests must check out by 12 noon on the departure date unless otherwise agreed. A late checkout may mean that the customer is charged for an extra night.
All information supplied by Thon Hotels to the customer relating to the present agreement shall remain the property of Thon Hotels. The customer may not disclose such information to third parties apart from purposes relating to compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement.
Termination of the agreement
The present agreement may be terminated by either party during the term of the agreement if:
- the other party suspends payments, begins debt settlement negotiations, goes into liquidation or is declared bankrupt.
- the other party commits a significant breach of contract.
During the term of the agreement, the agreement may be terminated by either party with three months’ notice. All notice to terminate must be in writing.
Force Majeure beyond the control of Thon Hotels or the hotels, (strikes, lockouts, fires, non-delivery of supplies etc.) shall entitle both parties to revoke the agreement without the right to compensation.
The duration of the agreement
The present agreement shall enter into force upon signing and continue until termination.

The agreement shall enter into force once the present terms and conditions have been approved and from the time Thon Hotels receives such approval.
