Location
This unique hotel dating back to1853 is known for its style and atmosphere and is also Telemark’s oldest hotel. If you enter Skien from the south side, you will find that we have a central location and easy access. Skien is the end station of Vestfold train track. It is 7 km to Skien`s local airport Skien Lufthavn Geiteryggen and the international Sandefjord Lufthavn Torp is a 60 minutes car/bus ride away. Within walking distance you can reach the Telemark Canal as well as a wide selection of shops and cultural and entertainment opportunities. Skien is Henrik Ibsen`s native town, and we recommend visiting the Henrik Ibsen Museum.

For the unique culinary experience, visit Madam Bloms, our stylish yet intimate restaurant decorated in an old-fashioned English style with up to date table settings. Our restaurant is one of the best in town. Lunch is served from 12.00 - 14.00 Monday - Friday, and dinner à la carte from 16.00 - 22.00 Monday - Saturday. After dinner you might want to enjoy a coffee or other refreshments in our bar or lounge.
