By focusing on environmentally friendly consumption, reducing waste and saving energy, we make a significant contribution to the environment.

Thon Hotels has decided that all our hotels will be certified as ”Eco-lighthouses” by the end of 2008. An “Eco-lighthouse” certification is based on a number of measures:

• Waste reduction and environmentally friendly waste management
• Purchasing environmentally friendly products
• Ecological food

The Olav Thon Group, of which Thon Hotels is a part, has started a considerable energy-saving project with Enova. So far, this has resulted in a reduction of 26,4 GWh per year. For Thon Hotels, this means that we contribute towards the environment without compromising the comfort of our guests. Additionally, the hotel chain reduced costs by 20 million NOK.
