Three people walking down a mountainside at sunset

The autumn break is coming up!

Are you tempted to take a short trip this autumn? The autumn break is the perfect time to take your family or loved one on a trip.

Catch up on what you didn't get to do this summer and use your autumn break to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We have several lovely autumn destinations all over the country.

You can go on a city break to Oslo and get a cultural boost by visiting MUNCH, Deichman Bjørvika and Astrup Fearnley.

Or head to Bergen to experience the aquarium, Fløyen and cosy cafes. You can also visit Bryggen, which is included in Unesco’s list of the world’s cultural heritage sites, where you’ll find small shops and galleries.

Why not head to Tromsø, the Paris of the North? Here you can go on outdoor activities such as dog sledding, northern lights safari and fishing trips. Tromsø is also surrounded by mountains, so you can enjoy a large selection of mountain hikes in varying degrees of difficulty.

You can head to Trondheim, not just to stroll around Nidaros Cathedral and Bybroa, but also to experience great food culture. In Trondheim, you’ll find three Michelin restaurants: Credo, Fagn and Speilsalen. After dinner, head to beautiful Bakklandet and relax with something tasty in the glass at one of the cosy inns there.

In beautiful Stavanger, you can wander through narrow streets and white-painted houses in the Old Town. Stavanger is also a good starting point for great natural experiences, where you can experience attractions such as Lysefjorden, Preikestolen and the Kjerag Boulder.

Beautiful Skeikampen also offers many wonderful experiences in beautiful scenic surroundings, with activities and hiking trails right on the doorstep. You can go mountain fishing with the family or rent bikes and try the cycling terrain. Skeikampen is known for being one of Norway’s best trail cycling destinations!
