Thon Hotels has been voted the most sustainable brand in the hotel industry in Norway.

Thon Hotels is now number one of the hotel industry's most sustainable brand under this year's Sustainable Brand Index. We are very pleased with the achievement and it shows that the excellent work we do is appreciated, says Thon Hotels Executive Vice President, Mr. Morten Thorvaldsen.

Thon Hotels has over 70 hotels in Norway and has in recent years had a strong focus on waste and food waste, energy, ethical requirements for suppliers and being a part of the everyday working life.

Olav Thon Group's sustainability adviser, Mr. Anders N. Rylander, is happy with the achievement:

- We work systematically with sustainability, and it feels great that consumers recognize the work we do. We will use this as inspiration and motivation to further develop our sustainability work,  says Mr. Rylander.
