The Thon Hotel Snø conference hotel in Lørenskog is close enough to the Oslo city centre and airport to make it easy to get to, but far enough away for people to stay at the hotel during the conference.
Course and Conference Manager Kristian Kjensli is fully aware that event organisers appreciate this fact.
"At a hotel located in the centre of Oslo, you might risk the group splitting up and 'escaping' during the day, but at our hotel, all the fun is right inside. You're in your own little 'bubble' here."
Easy access and state-of-the-art facilities
Thon Hotel Snø is conveniently located in Lørenskog, just over 30 minutes by car from both Oslo Airport and the Oslo city centre. There are good public transport connections and plenty of room for buses to stop outside the hotel for groups.
“We've put up more signs, both on the road and leading from the car park, to make it easy for guests to find their way no matter which direction they're coming from,” explains Kjensli.
Hotel Director Tamas Corba emphasises that the hotel is also more than happy to help with transport: "We can book a bus for those travelling as a group who prefer well-organised and sustainable transport."
Both have the impression that more and more people are holding their conference at Thon Hotel Snø because the hotel is easily accessible and at a great location.
"We also often receive compliments about our helpful and friendly staff. That's something we appreciate," says Kjensli.
A unique experience
Thon Hotel Snø opened in 2023 and is the perfect location for courses, conferences, annual meetings and celebrations. The hotel has six meeting rooms and a large room with a projector screen of no less than 60 square metres that can accommodate up to 325 people. All meeting rooms are bright and modern, can be customised and are technically equipped with a modern lighting and sound system.
"Our guests especially appreciate our flexible solutions. We also see that quite a few of the big companies that were here after we opened last year are returning again this year."
Csorba believes this is because Thon Hotel Snø can offer a unique combination of modern conference facilities and social activities.

Possibilities for a varied and fun programme
With the SNØ resort right next door, which has indoor downhill and cross-country skiing, an ice wall and several other winter activities that can be enjoyed all year round, there are exciting options for those looking for that little something extra.
“A traditional conference stay consists of meetings during the day, followed by a few hours at the SNØ resort either skiing, ice climbing or participating in a winter pentathlon competition,” says Kjensli.
If you don't want to hit the slopes right away, you can also simply relax in the hotel bar. In the evening, a delicious dinner is served in a private room, where entertainment can also be arranged.
“Most people end their stay with a meeting the next day and, of course, our tasty breakfast is always included,” says Kjensli.
Hassle-free conference
Among those who have chosen Thon Hotel Snø is the company Bauda, which has Toyota and Lexus dealers throughout central-eastern and southern Norway. They recently held their annual company-wide management get-together at the hotel, attended by managers from all dealerships..
“We are very pleased with the facilities and food, not to mention the people who work here,” says Thomas Evjenn, Marketing Director at Bauda.
"We also needed a little energy boost after the meeting, so we went to the SNØ resort, where they organised a fantastic pentathlon for all our 80 participants."
The management meeting was held in the hotel’s main room, Jostedalsbreen, which, according to Evjenn, was perfect for both the daytime meeting and banquet dinner in the evening.
